3 Baby Hawks about 2/1/2 weeks old |
Wanted to give you an update on the baby hawks. As of this writing they are a month old already and they are growing fast. I'm posting a few pictures from about 2 1/2 weeks - 4 weeks. You can see in the above picture that they are losing their fluffy look and starting to get their flight feathers.

Baby Hawk Testing His Wings |
Testing his wings. Mama is close by keeping an eye on her babies as their starting to move around more while stretching and flapping their wings.

Watch Out I'm Coming Over... |
Sometimes the little babies are very loud, calling for their parents. They finally settle down and quietly wait for one of their parents to come back.

4 Weeks Old...The Nest is Getting a Little Crowded |
This was my last visit to the Hawk Nest a few days ago. The birds are getting a lot more dark feathers. It's hard to believe a few weeks ago they were little white puff balls. On this visit one of the parents were there when I arrived, probably bringing them something to eat. I waited for about an hour to see if one of the adults would return, but they didn't.
